Nigeria’s representatives in the CAF Champions league, Kano Pillars, and their counterparts, Enyimba of Aba, have been drawn against Malaka FC of South Sudan and Buffles of Benin Republic in the preliminaries of the continental showpiece.
While the Nigeria Professional Football League champions, Kano Pillars, battle the Buffles, their local rivals, Enyimba, also have a score to settle with relatively unknown Malaka of South Sudan.
The Nigerian teams would play as hosts to their opponents in the first leg of the tie slated between February 13 and 15, while the second leg of the pairing will hold from February 27 to March 1, 2015.
The continental football ruling body, however, drew by ES Setif (Algeria), Coton Sport (Cameroon), AC Leopards (Congo), Al Ahly (Egypt), TP Mazembe (Congo), CS Sfaxien (Tunisia) and Esperance of Tunisia.
Similarly, Dolphins FC and Warri Wolves, the two teams representing Nigeria, have also been handed opponents in the preliminary round in the CAF Confederations Cup.
Leones Vegetarianos of Equatorial Guinea will be up against Dolphins, with the Port Harcourt-based side starting away from home.
It is the same for Warri Wolves, who will begin their campaign on the road against RCB of Burkina Faso.
