A former Minister of Interior, Comrade Abba Moro, was on Monday arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.
Moro was arrested over the 2014 recruitment exercise into the Nigerian Immigration Service.
Over 20 persons died across the nation during the exercise.
Arrested alongside the former Minister was the then Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Interior, Fatima Bamidele.
Sources said one other person, whose identity could not be ascertained as at press time, was also picked up by operatives of the EFCC.
He is said to be a Director in the Board of the Immigration, Fire Service, Prisons and Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps.
