A corpse, suspected to be that of a medical doctor, Allwell Oji, has been recovered from the lagoon in Lagos State, The Punch is reporting.
Oji jumped into the lagoon on Sunday at about 4:30pm around Adekunle Bus Stop on the Third Mainland Bridge.
Officials of the Marine Command of the Nigeria Police, Lagos State Emergency Management Agency and local divers immediately after the incident started the search for Oji’s body.
The Punch is reporting that the Marine Police recovered the corpse at about 11:30am on Tuesday.
The Punch said The police have sent for Oji’s mother for proper identification of the corpse.
