Information just filtering in has it that a bomb has exploded in Kaduna, Kaduna State.
The explosion reportedly occurred around the Murtala Mohammed Square.
The bomb went off at about 12:30pm.
The explosive was said to have been planted in a Golf car close to SCOA Motors, which is about 300 metres from the Murtala Mohammed Square.
An Islamic sect, led by Sheik Usman Bauchi, was reported to be winding up its annual Ramadan tafsir when the explosion occurred.
Officials of the National Emergency Management Agency have arrived at the scene of the explosion.
Operatives of security agencies are also on ground.
Details of the casualties were yet to emerge as at press time, but some people have been confirmed dead.
No group or individual has claimed responsibility for the explosion as at press time.
