Manchester United players welcomed a special guest to training ahead of facing Tottenham – heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua.
Fresh from his stunning victory over Wladimir Klitschko, the boxing superstar was invited to Carrington on Saturday morning and joined in a training session.
He broadcast his visit on Instagram and footage showed him taking part in drills and penalty shootouts with players, including Wayne Rooney, Jesse Lingard and Marcus Rashford.
Joshua also met manager Jose Mourinho who presented him with a signed United shirt with “Joshua 1” on the back.
A number of United players documented Joshua’s visit to Carrington on their social media accounts and posted pictures with the popular boxer.
Timothy Fosu-Mensah, Ashley Young and Jesse Lingard were among the players who greeted their visitor and congratulated him on his brilliant Wembley performance.
In December, Luke Shaw, Memphis, Morgan Schneiderlin, Young and Chris Smalling attended Joshua’s victory over Eric Molina at the Manchester Arena.
Last April, Mourinho was ringside at Joshua’s fight against Charles Martin at the O2 Arena in London amid frenzied speculation he was about to be named United manager.
