A 19-year-old Yezidi Woman, who was kidnapped and sold by Islamic State, said that she ran into her Former Captor in her new home country, a German Prosecutor said on Friday.
She was kidnapped as a teenager before running away to Germany.
In a YouTube video posted on Tuesday, the woman said she had returned to her family in Iraq after the encounter with the man, who held her captive for three months when she was 15, in Schwaebisch Gmuend in south-western Germany.
The German prosecutor confirmed on Friday that the woman had reported the incident, in which she claims the man approached her and told her he knew where she lived.
Police in the state of Baden-Wuerttemberg confirmed they are investigating the incident on Twitter but said they had so far not been able to make progress because they could not contact the woman.
