Nigerian’s Fuji lord, King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, has revealed that he had a passion for acting and not really music.
According to Marshal, while young he preferred hanging around movie stars at locations where he will get some minor roles like that of a town crier that gave him the mindset of becoming a major actor in future.
He revealed that his hope of becoming an actor was dashed when he met veteran actor, Adebayo Salami, popularly called Oga Bello, who advised him to choose music as a career rather than acting.
Kwam 1 in his words hinted further: “Occasionally, I would get the role of a town crier or a singer in their films and it gave me hope that I could make it as an actor until Oga Bello called me one day and advised me to go into music as a chosen career.
“He told me then that if I heeded his advice, I will not regret it.
“And today, I’m glad that I did.
“And I didn’t regret taking his advice.”
