After much delay, the new album of reggae icon, Majek Fashek, will be unveiled and released in June.
The musician has been in and out of the studios for years now trying to reinvent himself and drop a new album many years after he dropped the last one.
Majek Fashek was at the Lagos State High Court, Ikeja last Wednesday in company of King Wadada to render support to his friend and colleague, Victor Essiet, otherwise known as The Mandators, who was charged by the Nigeria Police Force for assault.
Fashek said: “My album is ready now.
“It’ll come out in June.”
The singer was obviously in good health as he waited to see the ‘Rat Race’ hit crooner, Mandators, before leaving the premises.
Majek Fashek, The Mandators and King Wadada, formerly Prince Wadada, were reggae singers of repute who hit the air waves in late 80s and 90s, the latter coming into the music scene much later with his ‘Holy Holy Holy’ hit song.
Fashek made more fame and got wide recognition with his fastest selling debut album entitled: Prisoner of Conscience, which had many hit tracks.
Now in 2015, the rainmaker is struggling to keep the fame after his much publicized failing health and home trouble.
