The Nigerian Meteorological Agency has predicted cloudy weather conditions over States in the North-central on Wednesday, with chances of localised thunderstorms over Jalingo, Ibi and Makurdi in the morning.
NiMet’s Weather Outlook by its Central Forecast Office in Abuja on Tuesday also predicted day and night temperatures in the range of 31 to 40 and 18 to 29 degrees Celsius respectively.
According to NiMet, there are prospects of isolated thunderstorms over Abuja, Lafia, Mambila Plateau, Jos and Yola in the afternoon and evening hours.
The agency predicted that states in the Southern part would experience cloudy skies over the entire region in the morning hours.
It also predicted chances of isolated thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening hours with day and night temperatures in the range of 31 to 35 and 23 to 24 degrees Celsius respectively.
According to NiMet, states in the Northern part will experience partly cloudy to cloudy conditions with localised thunderstorms over Maiduguri and Yelwa in the afternoon and evening hours.
NiMet predicted: “Northern states are expected to have day and night temperatures in the ranges of 38 to 43 and 22 to 28 degrees Celsius, respectively.
“Isolated thunderstorms are anticipated over several parts of the country such as Yelwa, Yola, Jalingo, Jos Abeokuta, Ado-Ekiti, Portharcourt, Calabar and their environs in the next 24 hours.”
