Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, the immediate past Minister of Sports, has commended the Super Eagles for giving their best despite losing 0-2 to France at the Brazil 2014 World Cup.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, the former minister said: “I congratulate the Super Eagles, their team of coaches led by Stephen Keshi and the NFF for a very good outing at the ongoing FIFA World Cup.
“I am proud that you did a great credit to the work we did in 2012.
“I believe the entire country and continent is proud of you.
“The best surely lies ahead.”
