The kidnappers of the Divisional Police Officer for ‘C’ Division, Asaba in Delta State, Valentine Mbalu, have made a ransom demand of N25 million.
The demand for the N25 million ransom came as report filtered in of the abduction of a female police woman in Lagos State, with the kidnappers also demanding for money to set her free.
Available information has it that the family of Mbalu, who was kidnapped on Sunday on his way back to Asaba from Agbor, had been contacted by the kidnappers.
They were said to have started their negotiation from N50 million.
The Eagle Online equally gathered that the Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, has ordered the Delta State Police Command to ensure the speedy release of the DPO.
In Lagos, a Woman Sergeant, simply identified as Moji, has also been abducted.
Moji, who is attached to Ketu Police Division in Ikosi Ejirin Local Council Development Area of Lagos State, was abducted last week Wednesday while riding in a commercial vehicle.
Other passengers in the vehicle were also taken along with her.
They were reportedly abducted on Omu Road in Idofi village.
