Former presidential spokesman, Dr. Reuben Abati, has been granted administrative bail by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.
Abati, former Special Adviser to former President Goodluck Jonathan, was invited for questioning by the EFCC on Monday.
He was subsequently taken into custody for questioning over the funding of his office by the Office of the then National Security Adviser, retired Colonel Sambo Dasuki.
He was accused of having received over N50 million from Dasuki’s office, money said to be part of the $2.1 billion meant for the purchase of arms to fight the Boko Haram insurgency.
