Nigerian football crisis took a fresh dimension on Friday when the Ambassador Chris Giwa-led Nigeria Football Federation board stormed the Glass House in line with the ruling a Jos Federal High Court quashing the Warri, Delta State elective congress that produced the Pinnick’s Amaju executive committee.
Relying on the court ruling to return to status quo before the September 30 election that brought in the Amaju board in Warri, the Giwa led board, which met at the Mama Mia Hotel in Jos moments after the court ruling, urged Nigerians to remain calm, stressing that all their efforts has been to ensure that normalcy returns to the Nigerian football family by doing the right things.
In a communiqué issued by the board at the end of the meeting, the board noted that it has nullified all decisions taken by the Amaju Pinnick-led board, which they accused of usurping the NFF since September 30.
The statement, signed by Yahaya Adama, also declared as illegal all the appointments that were made by Pinnick and his team, noting that they have all been dissolved with immediate effect.
While replacing them with their appointed stakeholders to the various committee, which they noted will operate on interim basis.
Yahaya Adama is the chairman of the match commissioners appointment committee, with Patimidi Tukura, Professor Abu Malam and D. I. Mbazue, as members, while Emmanuel Adesanya would act as the secretary.
The new referees committee has Suleiman Muazu as its chairman, with SundayAudi, Ahmed Maude and Chidi Offor as members, while Sunday Okai is the secretary.
Iyke Igbokwe heads the disciplinary committee, which has Abdulkareem Ibrahim and Andrew Abba as members, while Lawrence Katken is the secretary.
The appeals committee has Leyte Adepoju as chairman, while Godwin Odekina, Ray Nnaji were appointed as members, with Okey Obi as secretary.
