Three persons made up of one male and two girls aged 18 and 10 were on Wednesday discovered with explosives in Katsina State.
The Coordinator of the National Information Centre, Mike Omeri, revealed this on Wednesday in Abuja.
Omeri said security forces stopped a car in which the three were travelling.
He said in a statement that the “10-year-old … was discovered to have been strapped with an explosive belt”.
In the last few days, female bombers have been deplored for the detonation of explosives around the country.
This has been more so in Kano State.
Only on Wednesday, a female suicide bomber detonated an explosive in a Kano higher institution, killing herself and two others.
Seven persons were injured in the attack.
